SecuX, a Taiwan-based international blockchain security company specializing in cryptocurrency hardware wallets, has announced several new and much anticipated features to be rolled out in the next few months. The support of WalletConnect, Cardano ADA and Binance Smart Chain BSC, allows SecuX wallet users to access a wide range of DeFi Apps such as Opensea and Uniswap, the receiving, sending and staking of Cardano ADA and all BEP-20 tokens.

The company offers 3 models: SecuX V20, W20 and W10. All equipped with an Infineon SLE solid Flash CC EAL5+* Secure Element chip, which is used to securely store unique PIN and Private Key. The large 2.8 inch touchscreen and Bluetooth connection (W10 is USB only) allow users to browse through their portfolios and confirm transactions information easily via SecuXess web application or the SecuX Mobile App. Compliant with the standard 12, 18 and 24 recovery words, the wallets are tamper-proof and not only complete with all the security benefits of hardware wallets, but the convenience, mobility and user-friendly interface of any mobile wallets. 1. WalletConnect

WalletConnect is an open source protocol for connecting decentralised applications to wallets with QR code scanning or deep linking. SecuX Mobile App users can scan the QR code provided by WalletConnect and access many popular DeFi apps using the funds they own in their SecuX hardware wallet. For example, if you want to start using Opensea to trade NFTs which requires sufficient amount of ETH for purchasing or to list an item on the market, you can pay with funds in your SecuX wallet through WalletConnect, and pay the gas fee which is increasingly higher only once. There are only a handful of other hardware wallets currently on the market that support WalletConnect, and can connect to hundreds of decentralised applications with various purposes and functions, ie. trading, staking, swapping, gaming, social networking, borrowing, lending and many more.

2. Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and BEP-20 tokens

BEP-20 is a Binance Smart Chain token standard owned by the Binance Organization, and together with ERC-20 standard which is owned by and created on the Ethereum Foundation, are the two most popular standards preferred by developers to create compatible and interoperable tokens. The BEP-20 standard was derived from, and is compatible with the ERC-20 standard. The modifications BEP-20 had done were to improve the existing ERC-20 protocol, optimize speed and transaction cost. In other words, BEP-20 tokens offer a faster, cheaper and compatible solution for DeFi-apps users when the Ethereum network has become increasingly congested and resulted in delayed transaction confirmation and high gas fees. Currently on the market there are 12 wallets in total that support BSC, and only 3 of them are hardware wallets.

3. Cardano (ADA)

Cardano is a decentralized third-generation proof-of-stake blockchain and smart contract platform which considers itself as an updated version of the second-generation Ethereum. Its main applications are in identity management and product traceability, with the cryptocurrency called ADA. Year-to-date (YTD), ADA is up over 630% and its price is currently shy of $1.60. ADA’s market capitalization (cap) of $45 billion puts it among the top ten cryptos. SecuX wallets will support the receiving, sending and staking functions for ADA.
