Recent reports regarding the Coldcard hardware wallet vulnerability have understandably raised questions across the hardware wallet community. At SecuX, we take the security of our products seriously and have reviewed the nature of the reported issue.
Based on our security architecture and internal assessment, the vulnerability disclosed for certain Coldcard devices does not affect SecuX hardware wallets.
When creating a new wallet, SecuX generates recovery phrases using a hardware True Random Number Generator (TRNG) that provides the full entropy required by the BIP-39 standard. Wallet creation does not rely on software-generated randomness or predictable values such as device serial numbers or timestamps. If the hardware random number generator is unavailable, wallet creation will not proceed.
Once generated, the seed and all private keys are securely stored within the Secure Element and are never exported.
We continuously monitor security developments across the industry and review our products whenever new attack techniques or vulnerabilities are disclosed. We remain committed to maintaining a secure and transparent hardware wallet platform.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact the SecuX Support Team.
Thank you for your continued trust and support.
Stay secure. Stay in control.
