If my wallet is damaged, lost or stolen, will I lose all my cryptos?

No, you will not lose your cryptos. All your crypto assets are stored on the blockchain network. In the event of theft, loss, or damage to your SecuX wallet, you can recover your wallet and restore access to your crypto assets with your 24 Recovery Words on any compatible BIP 32, BIP 39, and BIP44 standard software or hardware wallets.
In the event of theft or loss, we recommend using a new wallet with new recovery words for security purposes.
SecuX does not store, nor do we have access to your Crypto Assets nor your Private Keys. If you lose your 24 recovery words, SecuX has no way of helping you retrieve your recovery words for you. Therefore, it is essential for you to keep your 24 recovery words safe.

Are my cryptocurrencies / assets saved on SecuXess or your website?

Blockchain essentially allows all of your crypto assets and transactions to be stored on the blockchain network, and not on any of the third-party services, including SecuX. SecuXess is only a platform that allows you to connect with blockchain networks, in accordance with their respective protocol rules, and to perform transactions without ever storing your private information. SecuX operates non-custodial services, meaning we do not store, nor do we have access to your Crypto Assets, Private Keys, passwords, passphrases, transaction history, or other credentials associated with your use of any SecuX services. Unlike traditional centralized financial services, SecuX Services do not require registration of personal information nor create personal accounts for our users.

I have transferred some crypto coins from exchange to my SecuX wallet many hours ago. Why I cannot find them appear on my wallet?

Any time you complete a transaction, you need to connect your wallet to SecuXess in order to synchronize information including balances and transaction history to your SecuX wallet.

Cryptocurrency security requires a huge amount of computing time and space, and in this case price reflects urgency. If a lower-fee encryption plan is chosen, it may take a longer time until your transaction is included in the next available block (this is to be determined by the respective network). In some cases, it could take as long as a few days. There could also be the possibilities of an incomplete transaction or incorrect addresses. To check the status of your transaction, you can use a blockchain explorer and enter the TX number. For example, if you would like to check transactions made on the Ethereum blockchain, you can use etherscan at https://etherscan.io/  or transactions made on Bitcoin blockchain on https://blockchair.com/

Will SecuX charge me additional service fee for each transaction fee?

The transaction fee that occurs with moving funds is paid towards miners for mining blocks on the blockchain. SecuX does not charge any additional transaction or processing fee.

What should I do if I forgot my PIN?

If you input the incorrect PIN 5 times, the device will reset itself to factory settings. Once the wallet resets, choose “Recover from an existing wallet” and enter the 24 recovery words in the order they were written down on your recovery sheets.
If you have a hidden wallet, remember to recover your hidden wallet from the hidden wallet function in settings menu, set up your hidden wallet PIN and enter your Passphrase.

I recovered a previous wallet on my SecuX wallet, but I can’t find any of my previous accounts?

When you recover a previous wallet, all of your previous accounts need to be added manually on SecuXess or SecuX Mobile App. On how to add accounts on SecuXess or SecuX Mobile App, please refer to the following webpage.

What should I do if my SecuX Nifty is lost or stolen?

IMMEDIATELY transfer all your NFTs and cryptocurrencies to a different wallet with a different set of recovery seed phrases or private key.

Also make sure that the new wallet’s recovery seeds or private keys have not been exposed to any risks of being stolen, hacked or compromised, and have not been shared, stored or saved on your computer, mobile phone, cloud services or any storage services online.

What operating system is compatible?

SecuX Nifty App supports iOS 13.0+ and Android 7+ Android mobile applications in the App Store and Google Play. SecuX Ni fty Desktop App will be available for download soon.

Note: SecuX Wallet App for Nifty is available for iOS on iOS on Apple App Store and Android on Google Play.

How do I know if my wallet has been tampered with?

The SecuX Nifty retail box and device are sealed with SecuX tamper-resistant labels. Before opening the box or using the device, please carefully check to see if the label is legible and make sure that it is not broken or torn.

If you found any of the above conditions on the retail box, please return it to the seller immediately. If you ordered the device directly from the SecuX web shop, please contact support and we will contact you as quickly as possible. In addition, please take photos of the retail box, serial number and proof of purchase to help accelerate the process.

What are the functions in the settings menu?

・ My Favorites – Display favorite NFTs on your SecuX Nifty device by syncing/downloading Favorites from SecuX Nifty App.

・ Receive – SecuX Nifty supports NFTs, coins and tokens on Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and Binance Smart Chain BSC. Select the network to get your receiving address.

・ Setting – You can Change PIN, Lock Time, Language, Seed Check, About or Reset Wallet.

・ Change PIN – Change your PIN (personal identification number)

・ Lock Time – Choose the time it takes for your SecuX Nifty to lock itself when idle for 5/10/15/30/60 minutes.

・ Language – Change the language on your SecuX Nifty.

・ Seed Check – You can verify that you’ve correctly saved your recovery words using the Seed Check function.

・ About – Contains information on your SecuX wallet, including firmware version and related certificates.

・ Reset – Reset your SecuX Nifty to factory setting by erasing all information in the wallet. Please note this will include your PIN and all access to your wallet.

Can I edit my profile picture?

Yes, you can edit your profile picture. 

1. Tap the NFT you wish to set as the profile image.
2. Then tap the Manage button, and press Set as Profile.

Why do I need to back up my seed phrases?

Your seed phrases are the only backup of your private keys. Anyone who gets hold of your seed phrases can gain access to your digital assets and transfer them elsewhere.

In the event of loss, theft or damage to your hardware wallet, you can enter your seed phrases into any compatible software or hardware wallet, and regain control of your coins and tokens. 

So backing up your seed phrases and keeping them in a safe place is an important security measure in safeguarding your digital assets.

Where should I keep my X-SEED?

You should keep your X-SEED in a safe place out of reach from malicious intentions. 

As a backup of the private key to your digital assets, your X-SEED should be stored in the same way as how you would keep your valuable jewelry, property deeds, certificates and important documents.

What should I do if my X-SEED is lost or stolen?

IMMEDIATELY transfer all your coins and tokens to a different wallet with a different set of recovery seed phrases or private keys.

If you suspect that your X-SEED has been accessed by others, the tamper-proof stickers have been broken, or your X-SEED is lost or stolen, make sure that the new wallet’s recovery seed phrases or private keys have not been exposed to any risks of being stolen, hacked or compromised, and have not been shared, stored or saved on your computer, mobile phone, cloud services or any storage services online.

We would also advise you to set up a Passphrase (also known as the 25th recovery word or hidden wallet), so that even if someone gets hold of your recovery seed phrases they would not be able to access your digital assets.
